I’m sorry for being inactive on maintaining this blog and Exray Theme, because I got caught by flu recently. I also had to fix my email that didn’t receive any email at all. Because of that mistake, it costs me lot of time and opportunities. I’ve been thinking to use CloudFlare on one of my blog to reduce comment spam and do some experiment on how well CloudFlare do the job. So far I’m satisfied with ClodFlare free services as it’s working as advertised, until my custom domain Gmail didn’t receive email at all.
For several weeks I didn’t realize it, since my email still able to send email just fine, until I tried to sign up on some services and didn’t receive any confirmation email. I tried to send email from my other email account to that problematic email address and got bounced. After searching google for answer, there must be some problem with MX Records. I’ve tried to change the MX Records on my hosting Cpanel, but it’s still not working.
Finally, I gave up on trying to fix it by myself and request support ticket to my hosting providers. They said CloudFlare is the culprit, and tell me to alter CLoudFlare nameservers to hosting default. Luckily, I didn’t comply with their suggestion. There must be someway to use CloudFlare and still able to use Gmail custom domain. Finally, I ran across this tutorial how to make CloudFlare and Gmail best friend forever. Aparaently, you have to alter MX records on CloudFlare control panel, not your hosting provider. That’s really a life safer tutorial! My email stop gotten blocked by CLoudFlare and work as good as before. I hope you guys could solve this kind of problem if you ever experienced it.

Mate,
I am referring to the ability to embed html ads at the top right hand side corner of the page. Yes, i do agree that dynamic ads should come from a plugin. Wondering if it was possible to embed html instead of the static image ads you currently provide as an option for the right hand side corner of the page.
Cheers,
Trevor-
I got it, I’ll replace the banner Ad with widgetized area on next update. I made it as it is because I thought it’s harder for people to add banner ad using html code. You can always hardcode it if you want to.

Mate,
One more issue i wanted to have a chat to you about. The theme works very well with firefox and chrome but renders very poorly with IE 8 or 9. Any idea why is this the case? Is there something i could do to fix it?
Please reach me at trevor at practical performance analyst dot com.
Cheers,
Trevor-
Can you explain it in detail which part of theme render poorly in IE? Since it’s all fine in IE 9 on my Win 7 PC. FYI, This theme only tested on IE 9, with intention to push people to use modern browser in mind. Some css bugs may occur on IE 9 below, I’ll fix it on the next update.

Mate,
Let me congratulate you on the excellent work you’ve done with your latest theme. You can check out the website and see the implementation at entrepreneurscorner.net.
I’ve uncovered a bug with your latest release. Even after setting the them options to show excerpts it only shows the full post. I’ve had to do some reading up and i figured out how to temporarily solve the issue. I have hardcoded the settings in content to php, line 46 and change the option to show excerpts for all posts.
Secondly, is it possible to have an option for a dynamic advertisement in the upper left corner of the screen? Drop me an email at trevor at practical performance analyst dot com.
Excellent work again and keen to work with you.
Cheers,
Trevor-
Thanks for the bug report, I’ve already upload the update and still waiting for approval. That’s some silly mistake caused by nightly coding. Glad you can fix it. Dynamic advertising is a plugin functionality and shouldn’t included in Theme by WordPress repo rules. You should use some Ads management plugin to do that. Cheers 🙂
